Becoming is the first solo show by Obbe, an Amsterdam‑based artist who works with clay, porcelain, found objects and living materials. Between 2023 and 2025, like many others, he rebuilt his life after a divorce, left corporate work behind, recovered his health, and devoted himself fully to the studio. These works were made during that intense period of change. Each carries a trace of what was held, what took form and what eventually opened up.
